Kei te pēhea koutou? Māku koe e āwhina?
Times are tough, and prices are sky-rocketing - are you keeping above wai or do you need help to keep from drowning?
In these times of stress and hardship - rising petrol prices, kai prices etcetc and the worries that go with it all it can sometimes get a bit overwhelming and we all need to get a bit of help.
Nōku Te Ao is fortunate enough to have 2 Whānau Navigators and 1 Mokopuna Navigator funded through Te Pūtahitahitanga who can help you. We can help with:
* Kai
*Power bills
*Internet connectivity
*Rent or mortgage
*School uniforms
*Swimming lessons or dance etc for 5 and under
*medical issues, health issues, allergies, Covid support, mental health
*Seeking help from WINZ, IRD, or other government agencies
*Winter bills
and more.
This help is a hand-up, not a hand out. There are limits on the amounts of financial aid we can give and once the funding is used up we will have to wait until the next year. But sometimes a bit of help at the right time is all you need - just to give you time to take a breath and reset. Or sometimes it isn't a monetary issue and it is about having someone walk beside you when you need them.
If you think this might be something you need, please get in contact - tell one of the kaiako or ring /text me on 0273293936 or email dy@nokuteao.maori.nz and we will try to help if we can and if we can't, we will try to find someone who can.
Ngā mihi.
