Fencing - how to get in!

Sam Turner —

Friday 10th May

The new fencing installation has been a welcome addition to the school grounds and has allowed us to have uniformity around the school. Our previous fence did the job but was at various heights which no longer met compliance. We are 99% complete at this stage with just a couple of touch ups and some final aspects to be completed.

We have had lots of stranded adults at the gates wondering how to get in so thought we would provide the following images to support you.

Step 1 - Reach through the gate behind the thicker post

Step 2 - Find the red button at the top of the lock

Step 3 - Push the button down

Step 4 - pull the button up, which will release the gate

Once the fence is complete we will be able to lock the gates open at the end of each day. This will mean the grounds will be open to the public to allow everyone to make use of our wonderful facilities. Other schools who have had a similar upgrade have locked theirs and found broken gates and vandalism has continued. We hope that by encouraging the community to use our grounds, out of school hours, we will have more people looking out for us.
