A Slice Of Summer

Year 7/8 Hail —

The summer sun swiftly shimmers on my face as I reminisce my last summer. Its brightness blinds me, as the hot concrete burns my feet like fire. Ice creams melt within seconds as they hit the sun.The sky is permanently blue like the ocean.

The beach once empty is now swarming with people. From December to February each day gets hotter than the last. The soft summer breeze whispers in my ears. People playing beach volleyball sweating with tears.

Then all of a sudden the atmosphere changes, the temperature drops, the leaves start to descend from the trees, beaches are now deserted, summer is started to fade, Oh no! The peaceful breeze turns blustery. Is this the end of summer? The turn out too the weather change is awfully good. It is now colourful, crisp , orange, overly chilly ,with leaves cracking as we walk, it is time to say goodbye to beloved summer.
