Cricket Wicket

Year 7/8 Hail —

By Dylan

At the start of the Black day’s play the sweat was racing off the players face like there was a storm happening. Bobby was calm when he bowled the ball across the bouncy and bobble Bangladesh cricket pitch. The coaching staff are confident that they are going to get a wicket.

The wickets go Bang! as the ball zooms past the batter and hits the wickets. The wickets fly into the air; the crowd goes from quiet to loud. The crowd was cheerful, the bowler jumps in celebration. The coaches applaud as the batsmen walks back to the pavilion. The batsmen takes his gear off and watches on from the pavilion.

He takes the catch with ease and roars in celebration. The crowd goes from quiet to loud again. The coaches are happy,   all of the players congratulate each other. The bowler is happy; a new batter comes in; Everyone is excited. For the last time in the days play the cricket ball bounces down the cricket pitch like there’s no tomorrow and smacks the batter on the head; the batter falls to the ground, people try to help him but it was too late. It was a red last ball of the day.
