Year 7/8 Hail —

I hear the whistle blasting in the distance as a striker I am, I sprint speedily through the sharply trimmed grass to score a goal, but too late a girl with bird nest hair snatches the ball of me with force. No whistleblowing, no victory, no cheers I had lost the ball I had let the team down.

Defence! Defence! Where are you, my wishes are heard as my teammate tackles the ball off her as her face crumbles in anger.

My teammates glare me in the eye uncertain whether to trust me with the ball looking around she realized I was the only option within three seconds she has thrusted me the ball and I was speeding down the field. All eyes stare at me trusting me to score a goal. I speed as fast as I can like a lion trying to catch its prey. I stop and kick the ball. The goalie falls to the ground, the ball hears no sound. The goal was scored we had won the game. I feel as a bird soaking up the victory. We had won!
