Hot Summer’s Day
Written by Elizabeth Mckee
Summer is as hot as an oven,
In the lovely month of July
The white waves calmly brushes against the tide.
And all the children are playing roughly in the sand
The bright orange sun, with joy it grins
As he sees all of the people wearing hats
And putting sun cream on
To protect themselves from the sun's blindingly bright smile
I think i might need sunglasses!
Playing in the sun is so fun
But make sure you don't get burnt
It burns like the sun is touching you.
It really does hurt.
Excited kids and adults going on a quest to find
The buried treasure in the hot orange sand
It's so lovely to play in the sun but,
It's so hot, i think i'm going to be cooked alive!
