Thats what our cooks on Friday morning had the task of preparing in order to share our kai with all the Year 2's.

Our teacher only day provided all our teachers to visit Stonefields School to view the learning and teaching programmes in an Innovative Learning Environment. This provided opportunities to talk to students and teachers about the learning and how the students are engaged in a variety of environments.  Discussion and workshops on  the advantages of collaborative teaching provided staff with many thoughts and challenges as we enter our own development.  Thank you to everyone who has shared their thoughts for the future of Oaklands with clicking on to our survey.  This information will be shared with the Education Brief  Committee and the school's architect to help with our remodelling.

This Thursday (18th) Oaklands School is hosting the Peer Mediators Big Day Out 2016! 

This term many of our Year 7&8s are visiting Te Hapua to learn about and experience 3D printing.

The popular Friday inter-school winter sport programme has concluded for Oaklands students.

Indis NZ Ltd very generously donated us some bottles of Natrakelp which is a liquid seaweed fertiliser.

To be presented at a special CARE assembly on Monday August 22nd at 2pm.

As part of the Year 8 fundraising effort for their trip to Wellington, we will be holding a Bacon Fundraiser this term.

Just a reminder that the Term 4 Activity Fees are loaded and are ready for you to make your payment on Wrap it Up . Wrap it Up, a partner website for making all school payments. Due to our teacher only day on Monday 15 August we will miss our full school assembly.  On Monday 22 August we will have a special  full school assembly to give out our CARE certificates  and there will not be any team assemblies that week.

There will be a sausage sizzle, ‘have a go’ activities and an opportunity to play some ball. Have a go at Baseball.  A massive sports overseas and rapidly growing within NZ 

We have itinerant music teachers who come into our school each week and offer music lessons.

A reminder that students cannot be on the school grounds before 8.30am in the mornings.

Dates for your diary.

Any child leaving or arriving at school between 9am and 3pm must be signed out at the office.

With the large number of students unwell it is really important that you let the office know if your child will not be at school.

For Year 3 Students ONLY

In Terms 1 and 4, all students must wear a hat when they are outdoors.

The purpose of our complaints policy is to provide clear guidelines for the school community in raising and resolving concerns and complaints.

Please respect our NO GO zones and times and be considerate of other students and their families.
