Check out our school's Pop up Penguin!

During Term 3 our school received its Pop up Penguin. Our job was to decorate it. 

Students from around the school put forward their design ideas for the penguin. These had a to represent our school's identity and cultural narrative. 

We then selected 4 winners from our design competition and used their designs to come up with a final design that would represent our school. 

A group of students from around the school were then selected to help paint our penguin.

We sketched our designs onto the penguin and then started painting!

The front of our penguin represents our cultural narrative with the flowing river and the waka. 

The back of our penguin represents our schools values and what we stand for.

We have also included our school logo!

Here is our finished penguin! He looks awesome. Thanks to all of the students who helped.

Our penguin will be placed somewhere in the city during term 4. Keep an eye out for some more information about where you can find our penguin.
