Chess Club this year was mainly made up of enthusiastic Year 4 students.

Terms 2 & 3 saw 14-16 children turn up in Room 12 each week to learn new strategies and play against each other. It was a lot of fun with some serious competitions taking place.   Samuel won the knockout tournament and had to play Mr McCallum!

13 children also attended a Rookies Chess Tournament at Heaton Intermediate where Samuel placed 1st and Jayden was 3rd.
