At the recent Oderings School Garden Show the garden club at Oaklands won a gold award

Our display garden had six Oaklands Scarecrows sitting down to a healthy meal of vegetables grown in our school garden. Underneath the table we had some of school chickens eating the scraps. The students were surrounded by vegetable gardens growing in moveable beds. There was also some beetroot relish to share which the senior members of the cooked at the show.

The judges were impressed how the display garden told the story of our school garden. We also got 2nd equal in the People's Choice Award which was voted by the public who visited the show.

Well done to the Gardening Club for all their efforts.
