Week 3 Term 4

Mark Sy —

Another week is done and dusted! Bring it on Week 4!

Two New Additions to Taiheke

A big welcome to Suri and Theo Harrison to Taiheke. They will be joining us for the rest of the Term. Suri as a Year 8 and Theo as a Year 7.

Cultural Festival

The last Cultural festival was a big hit, with Oaklands School up on the stage along with Breens Intermediate to close the show one last time. More to come from Matua Brown as he reflects on the night!

Te Hapua (Garage Band)

Student Voice:

Luca: it’s fun because we are leaning something new for what we did last time we were here.If I could change something it would be that we have more time.

Tia: I really like te hapua because it really fun and exciting. I like visiting te hapua because it gives us something to do than learning and its something new. I love going on a small field trip with my friends every Friday and I am sad that it is the last session today.

Jennifer: Making music digitally is really different. Though I’d rather play an actual instrument in a band, it’s still a fun experience. I enjoyed making different beats to figure out what I liked.

Moses: This was a really, fun, and unique experience. I liked learning more in depth into something that I already knew a little bit about. Overall more exited and enthused about music and GarageBand.
