This year we set up a school band for the first time. There was a huge amount of interest in the band with over 70 students coming to audition!

The students involved in the band have shown a huge commitment. They have really risen to the challenge of playing with other instruments, not an easy thing to do for the first time. 

I have appreciated how dedicated the band members have been, and they have come a long way in terms of their ability to keep time and play in unison.

The band have performed at school assemblies, open day, community concert and the gala. 

Later in the year we also picked up some extraordinary vocalists, Elizabeth and Katie, who are not pictured.

The band members include:

Maddy Laing, Ashley White and Jak O'Connell - guitar players
Emily Pentecost - drummer
