On Thursday the 26th of November 12 students took on 703 other primary school triathletes in the annual Primary Schools Triathlon, held this year at Pegasus Town.

Athletes swam in the lake, ran and cycled around the outskirts of the lake  seeking to record a personal best time. Students were equipped with transponders which allowed for an accurate race time and also breakdowns of the swim, run, bike and transition stages.

It was a warm day although the lake was not as inviting. However, with the determination required to give these events a go, students braved the elements to begin their triathlon.

A top 40 placing is a fantastic achievement and we had 3.

Samantha Laing placed 37th in the 10 year girls.

Ashton Stocker placed 30th in the 10 year boys.

And, finishing in the very respectable 20th place in the 10year girls - congratulations to the talented Courtney Hillyer.

A special mention to our wonderful parents and grandparents  who provided transport, advice and support for the big day. It is very much appreciated.
