Book Day Parade

All students got involved in the parade, walking around in a circle in front of the kakano team. It was awesome to see students showing off their costumes and being confident and proud of what they came dressed as. Ka pai to all those that got dressed up you looked incredible!

Writing

This week we have continued writing about a video we watch as a Hub. This week the video was called "The Present". Students thoroughly enjoyed this and wrote some amazing stories.

Maths

This week Miss Doig and Mrs Lutterman's maths groups continued to focus on number knowledge and strategy. Mrs G also continued with coding and gave students the opportunity to jump on Maths Whizz.

Reading

All students are now being read the chapter chat book "The Giant Peach". Some students were lucky enough to make paper mache peaches using balloons. Others were busy completing worksheets related to the chapter book.

Books taken home from now can be kept and read over the holidays. We just ask that these are looked after and come back next year!

Swimming

Students who brought their togs were keen to get in the water when we were able to. Is great to see students respecting the instructor as if she was a teacher and trying their best with the skills practiced.
