Andrew Deadmarsh Year 3 Teacher in Room 2
My name is Andrew Deadmarsh and I am the teacher of the Year 3 children in Room 2. I trained to be a teacher in Christchurch although lived and taught in the UK for several years. During this time I taught in East London and it was an interesting experience to work in the UK education system. Living in London also provided some great travel opportunities around Europe. I returned to New Zealand in July 2015. My first experience of Oaklands School was last year as a reliever and I am really excited to be teaching full time this year at Oaklands. Room 2 is a fantastic group of children who are working very hard and making some great progress in their learning.
Outside of school I enjoy tramping and walking and am really enjoying living in New Zealand again and the outdoor lifestyle it provides. I also enjoy running and keeping fit. To relax I like reading and I am working to improve my guitar and cornet playing.
