Week 3 - Pātere Hub

Bryan Brown —

Here's a bit of a wrap up of the events of Week 3, insight into Week 4, and some important information.

Week 3 Wrap Up

Te Hāpua Fun Day: Pātere Hub has an excellent day at Te Hāpua and the Halswell Domain. Students loved the opportunity to play an old favourite Rounders. They also enjoyed having some free play with sports gear. The swimming fun day was also exceptional, students got involved in the width and length races, house games, and activities. We are very proud of how our team acted and behaved on the day, well done tamariki!

Buddy Programme: On Tuesday, we started Buddy Programme. Students got involved in the Year 1/2 Hub learning programme. It was great to see them interact with real positive intent, forming strong relationships with their new junior buddies.

Maths: This week, we have finished off our final set up for our Math Programme. Students now have access to all of the online learning programmes that they need in the Pātere Hub.

Literacy: Our focus during Literacy this week was to finish our first piece of writing.  This writing fits in with our Integrated Learning topic for this term, All About Me. Students have finished crafting a letter to themselves about who they are, their interest, current friends and what goals they want to achieve in the year. They will read this in November this year to see how much they have changed and whether they achieved their goals and achievements that they had planned out.
