MY AUSTRALIA TRIP

Karen Mackie —

I had training early in the morning on Friday. I was confident that I would do good in my competition. After that I had to get ready for the airport. I was SAD and also excited! When we were waiting for the airplane we found a free fitness room near our gate. So our coach made us do some fitness. On the airplane I was sitting next to my friends Nika and Lillyann. It was a four hour flight so I was fine with it. We arrived about 8 and we had a 1 hour drive to the hotel. We were really tired. My sleeping buddy was Lillyann. In the morning we had our competition. I did really well. I did no drops. I think I did really well and there were 24 people. My coach was happy and I was too. The next day we watched the older girls and after we had another competition of something AGG. We were the first New Zealand people doping. I thought we all did well. After we had prize giving. I came 6 th which was really good and I got a certificate for the best split line. For AGG we came 1 st . WOW! That was really impressive. At time we had a white party, we had to dressup in white. It was like a disco. Everybody was jumping. After all that the next 5 days we had a master camp. A really famous gymnast who won three Olympic game taught a lot of things.Everyone learnt a lot. After 5 days of master camp it was time to go back home. We arrived at 2.30 in the morning. We were exhausted. I had no idea how we survived but at least my parents were proud.
