Year 7/8 'Digital' Open Evening

Bryan Brown —

Good afternoon whānau. The students in Taiheke Hub have planned and prepared a series of videos. These were put together to share the student's thoughts and feelings about the opportunities that are available at Oaklands te kura o Owaka.

Here is a link to our Hub Blog, this gives you a great insight to some of the events that have happened this year and also over the previous years.

This is our opening video of pictures and activities that sum up our events that we are involved in together as a Hub.

Video 1: Amber and Matthew take you through a virtual tour of our hub and then a quick run through of a typical day in Taiheke Hub.

Video 2: Ben and Jennifer talk you through our learning programme that we offer in Taiheke Hub.

Video 3: Missy and Thomas take you through the Leadership opportunities that are available in Taiheke Hub.

Video 4: Rosie and Carter talk about the Technology Programme at Lincoln Primary.

Video 5: Tia, Issy and Danni talk about Te Whānau Kaupapa Maori.

Video 6: Andre and Zoe talk about the EOTC that we are involved in outside of our Hub.

Video 7: Harley and Rose talk about the sporting opportunities that are available to students in Taiheke Hub.

A big thank you to all of the students that took part to make these series of videos possible (Matthew Randall, Amber Hill, Ben Hanson, Jennifer Xu, Harley Green, Rose Brorens, Melissa Randall, Thomas White, Rose Iffland, Carter Woodgate, Zoe Steffens, Andre SImpson, Tia Taua, Isabel McKay-Hatcher, Dannielle Ratahi, Morgan Leoni and Rey Kumar). Without their time and effort, these videos would not be available for our whānau to see.

We welcome you to come and visit us if you have any questions, Mark, Lance and myself are more than happy to answer any questions that you do have. Alternatively, we are happy for you to email us as well (bryan.brown@oaklands.school.nz, lance.muller@oaklands.school.nz, mark.sy@oaklands.school.nz). Please enjoy the videos that give you an insight into the opportunities that exist in Taiheke Hub.
