Year 7 Camp at Wainui

Lance Muller —

Last week the year 7's went on camp to Wainui. Camp was a fun and challenging experience for everyone.

37 students, 3 teachers, 5 parent helpers, lots of smiles and plenty of energy. The key ingredients for a fun, challenging and successful Year 7 camp. Last week the Year 7's attended camp at Wainui. Students participated in orienteering,  team building, coasteering, kayaking and high ropes. As well as these activities we also played lots of indoor games, enjoyed some big games of spotlight and had a very entertaining camp concert. The parent helpers on our camp were fantastic. They provided lots of support during our activities and also ensured that we all had plenty of yummy food to eat. Thanks Dave, Grant, Kylie, Linda and Atawhai. We really appreciate you giving up your time to come on camp with us. Year 7 camp provided all of us with a really good opportunity to get to know each other better at the start of the year. We are looking forward to building on the positive relationships that have been formed as the year progresses. Feel free to ask  the year 7's about their camp experience.  I am sure that they will be happy to share some of the fun that they had on camp. Year 7's remember....What goes on camp stays on camp. Don't give away too much.  Great effort team. Thanks for an awesome camp.
