Welcome to the Year 7/8 Hub for 2018. See below for some important beginning of year information. 

Technology: Technology will run on a Tuesday this year. Students will bus to and from Lincoln Primary school each Tuesday to take part in the Technology Programme. Students will rotate around Woodwork, cooking, Science and Textiles and Design during the course of the year. They will also do short Mandarin Language session at Technology each week. More information to come about this soon. 

Swimming Pool: The school pool will be open during terms 1 and 4. Students will be able to access this regularly during lunchtime activity slots if they wish. A pool timetable will be communicated to students. The Year 7/8 hub has a pool time booked for Friday morning. We ask that students bring their swimming gear to participate in this. 

Year 7 Camp at Wainui:  This is scheduled for  week 5 of this term; Wednesday February 28 to Friday 2 March. Thanks to those parents who have offered to come along as parent helpers. We now have enough parent helpers which is fantastic! More info will be coming home about the camp shortly. 

Stationery:  Please help your child to be ready for learning by ensuring that they have all of the required stationery. 

BYOD: If your child wishes to Bring Their Own Device this year they will first need to complete the BYOD test and then bring in a signed BYOD agreement. The test can be accessed off of the school website. We have copies of the agreement here in the classroom. It is great see that many students have done this already. 

Activity Fees:  The Year 7/8 activity fee sheet is bright yellow.  If you did not receive one of these/ do not have one,  these can be acquired at the office or in the classroom.

Wellington: The year 8 camp to Wellington is scheduled for show week in Term, 4. We will be getting into our organization and fundraising for this shortly after the year 7 camp. 

Goal setting meetings:  These are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of Week 3. There will be a form coming home ( click here to view) this afternoon about this. Please see the school newsletter for more information regarding booking and times for these meetings.
