This afternoon at 1.30pm we had a practice fire drill as part of our emergency procedure. Then at approx 2.40pm the alarm went off again-this was not a drill but after the fire brigade arrived it was determined to be a false alarm.

When we have a practice fire drill we can control the switch panel and turn the alarms on and off.  When it is not a drill and the alarm goes off it can only be stopped by the fire service.  

Students were told of the first drill as this was the first time we have used our new evacuation system.

Unfortunately the second evacuation was due to the fire alarm being activated.  Please talk to your child about these drills and how well they left the learning spaces and how we do need to practise every term.
