Kia ora and welcome back to another year at Oaklands. We are looking forward to getting things underway in the year 7/8 Hub.

A few things to consider for the start of the new year. 

Students come to the Year 7/8 Hub/ Taiheke as normal on Monday morning. Students and parents are welcome in the classroom from 8:30am. Bag cubbies are labelled.  Your first challenge will be to find yours. 

Devices - Students DO NOT need their own device on the first day. If your child is intending to bring their own device to school this year, please ensure that they complete the test (on the school website) ASAP. This includes those that passed the test last year as well. 

Hats - These are compulsory this term. Please ensure that your child has a named school hat for use each day. 

Drink bottles - We encourage everyone to have a drink bottle at school. 

Swimming pool - The swimming pool is open each day during the week at break times. We also have timetabled pool slots on Monday and Friday mornings. Our first Hub swimming session will be Friday 7 February.
