Year 7 Wainui Camp 2020

Lance Muller —

4 motivated teachers, 7 energetic parents and 52 keen students. A recipe for camp success at Wainui in 2020. Read all about it below.

The Year 7 camp was held at Wainui from Wednesday 19 to Friday 21 February. We took a record number of students with us this year. So many in fact, that we had to call on the expert services of 'camp guru' Mrs McLeod to lend an extra pair of hands. Thanks to Nick, Nicky, Donna, Fiona, Jo, Liz and Natasha who came along as parent helpers. Without them camps like this simply could not go ahead.

The students rotated through 5 activities. These were High Ropes, Kayaking, Orienteering, Team Building and Archery. Night times were spent playing giant games of spotlight! All in all the camp was very successful with everybody pushing themselves out of their comfort zones.

Read what some of the students had to say about their camp experience below.
