Week 3: 14th May - 18th May

It is Anti-Bullying week at Oaklands School. Throughout the week we will be sharing a range of activities with the students to promote bullying awareness and teach the students what to do if they see bullying occur.

Monday 14th May:

Hub 1 release day-  Mrs Gill, Miss P and Mrs King will be released from the classroom on Monday to attend an assessment and planning day.

Kākano Assembly - 2:15pm in the Hall.

Tuesday 15th May:

BT release- Every Tuesday Claire Gill is on Beginner Teacher release. Jacinda Thomsen will continue her role as classroom reliever on Tuesdays for Mrs Gill, as she did in Term 1. 

Wednesday 16th May

Released from Class - Rebecca Pilbrough will be out of the classroom for IYT

Thursday 17th May-

Release from Class- Rebecca Pilbrough will be out of the classroom for the morning to attend Accelerated Literacy for Learning.

Music with Shalom- We are privileged to have Jubilee's mother, Shalom, come in to teach Hub 1 traditional Samoan drumming.

Sausage Sizzle- $2 per sausage

Friday 18th May

Pink Shirt Day - We will be celebrating Pink Shirt Day which is where we are asked to promote Speaking Up and Standing Together to Stop Bullying. Please send your child/ren in a pink shirt and/or a pink item to wear.

Library Day - Children visit the library and are able to exchange their book for a new one.
