English as a Second Language Learners

Joanne Casey - March 5, 2019

At Oaklands, we are lucky to have over 100 ESOL students who receive extra support in the classroom.

We have three wonderful teacher aides Kathleen Kingston, Flora Qu and Jeni Seek who work in the classrooms to assist our English Language Learners.

This group of students have been learning to introduce themselves and express their likes and dislikes.

" My name is Carina. I am  5 years old. I like  vegetables and strawberries, but I don't like pasta."

" My name is Ariel. I am 6 years old. I like jelly and strawberries, but I don't like meat."

" My name is Aanya. I am 6 years old. I like jelly and pizza, but I don't like cucumber."

" My name is Aarya. I am 6 years old. I like jelly and fries, but I don't like carrots."
