Casey caterpillar is a letter formation programme that the year one hub are going through to improve penmanship. 

Our students know the Casey Caterpillar story extremely well and would be able to re-tell this story to you. It is a story the tells us about a butterfly who lays and egg. The egg turns into a caterpillar and goes on a very hungry adventure and meets lots of friends.

Attached are pictures of 1AH exploring some of the letter shapes that we discuss in the story.

We have started to look at the letter shape "tall stick" which starts from the top and goes down. Our students will later make the connection to this shape being apart of b and d letter shapes.
