Year 7/8 Home Learning Challenges

Sarah Berquist —

Students have been working towards their leadership badges by completing home learning challenges.

To achieve MERIT you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Participate fully in your Leadership role (PALs, Peer Mediator, Librarian, Assembly Crew)
  • Complete your leadership role 8 times
  • Get involved and make a difference in other areas of school life 10 times.
  • Complete 6 Home Learning Challenges (at least one from each value) and show evidence of what has been done.

These students have received their Merit leadership badge;

Charlotte Koers, Brianna Greaves, Felix Barnes, Sam Iffland, Annabel Keylard, Ella Wilson, Madeline Laing, Aysha Henderson, Jack Wells, Ashley White, Caitlyn Stewart, Oliver Blake and Karlie Wright.

Oli - I have enjoyed all of the challenges that I have been doing. My favourite challenge was doing some home baking and giving it away to my neighbour along with a friendly card.

Jack W - I am proud that I have completed the 40 Book Challenge.

Charlotte - I like having the opportunity to complete the home learning challenges because they are fun. I like that we can pick what order we do them in because I can pick the best ones first.

Brianna - My favourite challenges are the ones where you can create your own because then I can choose something that I really want to do or enjoy doing.

Caitlyn - I find the challenges fun and challenging because you have to do things more than once. I like that all the hard work pays off when we receive the badge at assembly.
