Week 1 in the Year 6 Hub
Athletics
At the end of Term 3 and this week we have been preparing for Athletics. Students have participated in practising sprints, shot put, discus, long jump and high jump.
Kauri Athletics Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
- Students should wear suitable clothing. House colours are preferable.
- Please ensure students have adequate and appropriate food for an energy-sapping day.
- Students require a water bottle and a sunhat.
- Sunscreen will be available.
Sexuality Road -
We have begun our Sexuality Road - Discovery Me programme. This programme will continue running over the next three weeks.
Next week will be Lesson Three: Changing bodies and feelings. Identify the sexual and reproductive parts of the body and describe their functions.
New Groups
New Reading and Maths groups begun this week. Students are working towards goals from testing and goals found in their National Standards tracking sheets.
Cricket
Year 6 players of the Black Team are Jack Wells, Kade Robinson, William Johansen, Baxter Coughlan, Sam Iffland, Ryder Due, Amber Moates, Max Robson and Hannah Wallace.
The team won their first game this afternoon against OLV. Well done!
