This year Oaklands School entered two teams in the South West Literacy Quiz, a competition where students compete to answer questions about 6 picture books and 6 novels set by the committee.

Our two teams were:

United Bookdom - Beatrice Christie, Addison Buck, Madison McKenzie, Max McAlister, Dominic Bunn, Matthew Mears

Oak Readers - Chelsea Simpson, Sophie Agnew, Luke McIntosh, Amelia Bunn, Zach Wallace, Jacque Wu

There were 22 teams competing and the two Oaklands Teams finished in the top 10. The Oak Readers team  came third and the United Bookdom team  came 8th. All the students demonstrated the CARE values on the night and encouraged and supported each other under very stressful conditions.
