Road safety-we have had some concerns expressed about the safety of our students crossing the roads on their way home.  Our teachers have reminded our students about checking before crossing the road.  Can you please also talk to your child about keeping safe.  

Our classes are busy preparing for our Gala performances, Student Led Conferences and reports.  We also have our year 8 students in Wellington at their end of year camp, our year 5 students are at camp next week. Our year 7 students have been busy while the year 8 students are in Wellington with a variety of programmes.  On Thursday they will be attending a Leadership Conference to learn about  developing leadership skills in preparation for their roles next year.

Last week I attended the zone athletics competition. We had many successful achievements and our students showed their CARE values with their sportsmanship.

Our Gala committee are working very hard on behalf of the Oaklands' Community to ensure this is another successful event on Friday 2 December.  This fundraiser is to support our developments with our renovations in 2018.  

Please help us by giving an hour of your time on the day or before with preparation.  We are also needing  baking on the day. Our students are so excited to be able to perform on the day and are busy practising.  Please support this community event.
