Welcome back to Term 2, 2016

I hope you all had a lovely holiday break, weren't we lucky to have such great weather during the 2 week break!

This term we welcome Ms Leanne Spicer to the Kakano Team, she is working with our new entrant children, and Miss Emma Frampton, in Room 14/15.

Our Board of Trustees elections are fast approaching and this Thursday we are holding an informative evening for anyone interested in standing for Board of Trustees, and anyone else who is interested to know more about the roles and responsibilities of the Schools Board of Trustees. Hosted by a facilitator from the trustees association.  This will be held at 7pm in the staffroom.

Next week, on Wednesday 11th May at 7pm, we will be holding a consultation meeting to begin the development of the Education brief.  This document will be used by the Ministry of Education and architects to support the design of our new learning spaces.  At this meeting we will discuss how innovative learning spaces are being designed to meet the needs of students now and in the future and give you an opportunity to express your thinking what you believe are important about learning now and in the future.
