Well done, Lilly Bushnell. Trampoline Star

Grant Forman —

The outstanding Lilly recently competed at National level Trampolining

Today we celebrate the amazing Lilly Bushnell of Year 5. Lilly is a trampolinist, and a very good one at that. Recently she competed at a National level event, and her very proud mum shared her thoughts and some amazing photos. We also caught up wth Lilly for an interview.

We are so proud of Lilly and her progress over the year. Lilly started Trampoline in June last year at recreational level, after her first session in Rec class we were sent an email from the manager of the club, saying that Lilly has been spotted by the head trampoline coach and wishes to invite Lilly to join competitive trampoline code.

Here we are today at National level and she got to compete against the top 15 age 9-10 female trampolinist in NZ at Palmerston North.
- Lilly came 4th in synchro trampoline with her partner Amelia.
- Lilly came 4th in individual Trampoline out of 15 competitors.(which 9 of them will be moving up to 11-12years next year and Lilly will stay 9-10years.)
- Lilly came 7th in double mini

Her journey now stays at National level competition and will be learning a new routine for the next Nationals

Did you know trampolining is one of the best sports for cystic fibrosis, it's a great way to clear mucus off the lungs. We learnt a lot about this at Nationals and Maddie and Dylan have been bouncing for CF :) Maddie and Dylan are New Zealand Olympian trampolinists who represented NZ at the Paris Olympics.
