Rebecca McLean —

Top Team, swimming, Life-Ed and more!

Literacy

This week for literacy we have been focusing on writing letters based on our recent Waipara camp. We have continued our focus of sentence structure, and have been practicing writing simple, compound and complex sentences. This week we have also completed our PAT listening test.

Numeracy

We have been looking a range of strategies for solving addition and subtraction problems such as rounding and compensating, tidy numbers and place value partitioning.

Top Team

Students were out and about participating in Top Team on Tuesday. This was lots of fun and it was good to see our students out there supporting and encouraging the younger ones.

Life-Education

This week we have been at Life-Education where we have been learning about a growth mindset and how to stay resilient when things are not going the right way. See below for some students in action.

Swimming

This week we had our final swimming session for the term. We recapped our learning on pool entries, sculling and treading water.
