What an afternoon!

Rebecca Pilbrough —

The children had a fantastic time with the Kākano Cross Country.

It was unfortunate we were unable to do the full programme due to Covid but luckily enough the field was open, the sun was shining and we were able to do the Fun Run.

During this term, we have been working on running a distance so we were able to complete the course twice!

A big thanks to the Year 7/8 tāmariki who worked together and showed leadership in their design and execution of the course.

When reflecting with the children, they all want to do this again! I shall kōrero with the Year7/8s to see if this is a possibility.
