The Year 7/8 Students are now well into their second Technology rotation for the year. 

Each Thursday the Senior students travel to Lincoln Primary School for Technology. They have completed their first rotation and have now moved on to a new rotation. Lincoln are using a new reporting system this year with all Technology reports being made available online. Technology reports have recently been shared with all parents. Levels of student motivation in this second Technology rotation are high and it is great to be able to pop in and see what the students are up to each week. 

In Foods, the students continue to produce a different gastronomic delight each week. They are also doing some in depth study of food and food groups. In Science, a different experiment is conducted each week. Last week saw the students dissecting Green Lipped Mussels in order to identify their different parts. In the workshop the students are working hard to produce a portable USB speaker box. It is great to see the variety of designs that are being produced. In Design there are a wide range of different products being made to meet a range of identified needs e.g. cushions, dog jackets, aprons, fidget spinners and more. 

Our trip toTechnology is one of the highlights of the week for many of the Year 7/8 students. Be sure to ask your child what they are up to at Tech.
