6GF Highlights 2019
From 5GF to 6GF, it has been an absolute pleasure working with such an awesome and talented group of students.
We have done so much together, and it is difficult to reduce it to a few highlights. When you look back on your time at Oaklands, may your time as part of 6GF and the hub 6 family be one of fond memories.
We would like to share with you our personal highlights for the year. There have been many learning opportunities, events, visits and opportunities to work, learn and grow together.
Here are our highlights:
Avia
My year has been awesome! My first highlight is when me and a bunch of other Year 6 girls went to Canterburys for basketball which was a lot of fun. I have also enjoyed all of the other sports as well.
My second highlight is doing the 3D models for our Native Garden planning. We got into groups and designed a 3D model of what we would like the Native Garden to look like outside of Rm 12/13.
My third highlight has been swimming with our whānau classes or at lunch break because when we are in our whānau classes we learn all of the water safety skills which I think is very important. At lunch break, I go to the swimming pool to cool myself down.
My final highlight of the year has been the Waipara camp because we did lots of fun activities and we got to know each other better. Last of all, thank you Mr Forman, Mrs Fuller and Mr Ladbrook for an awesome year and thank you so much for teaching us the learning we need.

This year has been very exciting. Here are some of my highlights. At the start of the year hub 6 went to Waipara for our camp. We learned how to work as a team and we also collaborated really well in the activities.
My second highlight is the gala performance because we got to make up our own performance and it looked really cool.
My last highlight is south west zones Netball. My netball team (Netball A team) got to go to South West zone for netball. We did really well, came first place and got to go to Canterbruy’s. We also did really well at the Canterburys and came 6th place out of all the schools. This year at Oaklands was great, I made many friends and enjoyed every part of the year!
