Over the last couple of weeks we have had several complaints about parking around the school during the busy drop off and pick up times and teachers on gate duty have noticed this as well.

Some of the concerns regarding parking are:

Cars stopping in the turning areas at the top of Cunningham Place and Jarrow Place and dropping off / picking up students.  This causes major issues so please refrain from doing this. 

Cars parking on the yellow lines.

Cars parked over driveways preventing residents leaving and entering their properties safely.

Cars parked in 5 minute parking zone for periods of up to half an hour.

Cars exceeding the speed limit.

Parents double parking and allowing students to exit the car on the road side.

We have been in contact with the Christchurch City Council for advice and support and if the situation around the school does not improve they will send enforcement officers out to monitor the parking around the school and ticket vehicles that are not complying with the parking bylaws.
