Book Character Day - Wednesday 8 November

Catherine Corcoran —

In Week 4 of this term (6-10 November), we are celebrating our annual Literacy Week.

One of the exciting and very popular activities during our Literacy Week is Book Character Day. This is an opportunity for your child to come dressed as a character from their favourite book.

Although it is tempting to grab one of the dress-up costumes your child already has at home e.g. Spiderman or Elsa, or to use the costume your child may have used for Halloween, we strongly encourage the children choose a costume that will make a connection with a well loved book. If your child chooses to dress up, they will need to bring the book with them to school on Book Character Day.

Pinterest is a great resource for simple costumes made from items you may already have in your home.
