1/2 Wha Patere Iti

Katie Blockley —

It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of 2022. We have had a wonderful year of learning and growing in Patere Iti. Here are some of our highlights and student reflections on the year.

Despite the challenges of Covid this year, our tamariki have been incredibly resilient and have growing into themselves as learners. We have had lots of exciting events on this year, with a trip to the botanical gardens and the return of our school Gala!

We started the year as a year 1 and 2 cohort and said goodbye to our lovely year 2s during Term 3 who moved into the year 2 space with their peers.

We then excitedly welcomed 11 students from He Puna into our space which had our students demonstrate great leadership by making them feel welcome. It has been such a delight to watch their confidence grow and to see them making strong friendships with their peers.
