From 2 - 6pm on 27 and 28 June the Music Room will be open for you to come and find out more about the Education brief and how collaborative learning will be developed at Oaklands School.

When you are picking up your children or before/after your student led conference pop in and talk to one of the Education brief team, check out some information about innovative learning spaces, watch a video of our Year 7 & 8 students learning in their new collaborative space or share your ideas or questions with us.  If we want to design new learning spaces that meet the needs of our learners, both now and in the future, it is important that we gather the thoughts and ideas of as many members of our school community as possible.  As well as the parent information sessions on 27 and 28 June I run informal sessions in the library at 2:30 each Thursday.  This weeks session will include a video showcasing the learning in one of the hubs at Stonefields School in Auckland.   Stonefields School has been visited by many schools across New Zealand, including our own leadership team last year, as it is an innovative learning environment which showcases the benefits of collaboration between students and teachers.
