Today we spotlight the talented Griffin Bryce from the Kōmingo team.

Griffin plays football for the Cashmere Technical Club, and we sat down with him for a brief chat.

What team do you play for? I play for the 10th grade team - we are called the Maroons.

What award do you have hanging around your neck? This is the Coach's award, although as there are 3, it is the coaches' award.

What is it awarded for? it is awarded for the player who did well throughout the season. 

How is it awarded? The coach, or for our team, the manager, coach and co-coach each had 3 votes for different players. When they added them up, I had received one from each of them, so I won it.

How long have you been playing football? About 5 years. I have always played for cashmere Technical. Jake R is in the same team as me.

What do you like about playing football?  I like communicating with different people and getting to know others. At the start of the year you start off in a team with people you don't know, and you then get the chance to get to know them and you become friends.

Well, there you have it - A very happy Griffin, out there enjoying himself in sport playing football.
