Year 7/8 students can work towards earning Merit, Excellence and Distinction leadership badges. All of the information regarding these can be found below.

A point of difference for Year 7/8 students at Oaklands is that they are able to work towards Merit, Excellence and Distinction Leadership badges. 

Criteria for achieving leadership badges can be viewed at this link. 

Part of the criteria for earning leadership badges is that students must complete a number of different leadership challenges. Students are required to show evidence (photos, write ups etc) to prove that they have completed a leadership challenge. All students have been given access to a Leadership Challenges Google Classroom. This Google Classroom will be used as a place to store and track leadership challenge evidence.

Participating in the Leadership Badge Programme is optional. In saying this, students wishing to be considered for Student Leader positions in 2021 must engage in the Leadership Badge Programme as this shows a level of motivation, commitment and passion.
