This is a wonderful music festival celebrating the Ukulele, Marimba and Recorder held annually in the Horncastle Arena

Last Thursday evening, 7 students from Oaklands School proudly and wonderfully represented Oaklands school at the annual Strum Strike Blow festival. This festival is run by Music Education Canterbury and brings together students from all across Canterbury to participate in an evening of music making on a choice of Ukulele, Marimba and Recorder. It was an excellent evening as we listened to some talented students (nearly 800) playing together some very cleverly arranged pieces for all 3 instruments.

A big thank you to those parents who came and supported our students and to Mr Hamilton who taught the students what they needed to know.
