PB4L update

Caroline Martin —

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) is a consistent, school wide system of support which promotes positive, respectful relationships across the school and community. It works in conjunction with Restorative practices at Oaklands School and is the framework that supports students to be socially and emotionally ready to learn.

If you think about the analogy of a wardrobe, the PB4L programme is the wardrobe which supports and provides a structure for the things that are contained inside. If we open the wardrobe, hanging within we would find programmes and procedures such as:

Restorative conversations

The traffic light

CARE values

The Learning Plan

Circles

Whole School and Team Assemblies

Programmes and strategies such as these provide a strong foundation for students to be Lifelong Learners who aspire to Excellence.

Next term we will feature regular articles about each of the programmes and procedures listed above. If you have any questions about PB4L  please do not hesitate to contact me.
