Week 9 in review and week 10 preview.

Mathematics 

This week, Uru students have been learning about position and orientation. We have been learning about location and how to give directions as well as looking at grid references on a map. Here are some students practicing using co-ordinates. 

Integrated Learning

In integrated learning we have been learning about our local area in the past vs the present. 

We have continued with our Matariki learning and completed a compare and contrast venn diagram, comparing Matariki with another public holiday. We have also learnt about the nine stars and what they symbolise. 

This week it was announced that our Matariki display got 2nd place in our schools Matariki display competition! Well done to the students who all contributed! Here is a picture of our display.

My I-Time

Student have been busy working on their projects for My I-time. The rocket students have been prepping their rockets for launch. The board games and visual art projects are looking awesome. The movie making students have been working hard on their movies and the sports students have been looking at a range of different sports and getting actively involved!
