Our Student Leaders are very interesting people. To help everyone get to know the leaders, we will profile two Student Leaders in the newsletter each week. This week we profile our ICT Leaders Patrick and Taylor.

Name: Patrick Corcoran

Student Leader Position: ICT Leader

Hello my name is Patrick Corcoran. I am going to be one of the ICT leaders this year along with Taylor.  I am looking forward to helping during assembly and helping people in general with their ICT problems. I have been at Oaklands since Year 1 and my first teacher was Miss Russell who is no longer at this school. I enjoy gaming, Anime and fish/ marine life. At home I have 23 pets; 1 cat, 2 dogs and 20 fish. I have quite a big fish tank with about 90 litres of water in it. Right now the games I am playing are Hollow Night, The Legend of Zelda and Super Smash Bros. In conclusion I am looking forward to being the head of ICT this year. 

Name: Taylor Scott

Student Leader Position: ICT Leader

Hi my name is Taylor Scott and I am the ICT Leader for 2021. Some interesting things you might like to know about me are that I have been at Oaklands school my whole school life. I am in Rata house. My first Teacher was Mrs Coom and that was in 2014. I really enjoy Reading, Sports, Music and Traveling. I have been to 12 countries and 3 of the 7 continents. My favourite places that I have visited so far are the Vatican City, England and Rome. The next place that I would like to visit once the borders are open is Greece. I have been playing rugby since I was 4 years old. I play the drums and have been playing since I was 4 years old. My favourite author is Rick Riordan and my favourite band is The Foo Fighters. I am proud to have achieved a leadership role in my last year at Oaklands.
