Wellington Camp 2016
We had an amazing camp with our Year 8s last week in Wellington.
Last week the Year 8s went to Wellington. We fundraised all year and it was well worth it.
We visited Parliament and were lucky enough to see many politicians this year. Our local MP - Ruth Dyson took us on a tour of many parts that we usually don't get to see. Students highlight included being part of a mock debate, seeing the politicians and visiting the different rooms of Parliament.
Our evening trips to Capital E were also a highlight. Making our own live TV show was a lot of fun. We also had a look into the world of game making and found some hidden talents amongst our students.
During the other days we visited Te Papa, The War Memorial, and The Archives to see the Treaty of Waitangi.
One day we went up the Cable car to see the amazing view and view the gardens.
Overall, the students loved the experience and have many good stories to tell.
