A couple of weeks ago two Year 5/6 basketball teams headed down to Pioneer for the South West Zone Competition.

We took a girls team and a boys team who played fantastically right up until the final whistle. It was great to see such energy and enthusiasm from both teams as well as some great sportsmanship.

In the end the boys team came third and the girls team came second. The girls team have qualified for Centrals so will be facing off against some schools from other zones around Canterbury!

Well done to everyone who came and represented Oaklands School in such a positive way!!!
