Making Kinetic sand

Jennifer Bourne —

Soft, squishy, cold, squidgy, smooth, icky, fluffy...

These were only some of the words the children used to describe Kinetic sand.

Across week 5 everyone got a turn to make kinetic sand. Once made they all had fun squishing it in between their fingers and making it into things.

Kinetic sand is really easy to make, here is the recipe if you would like to make it at home.

2 cups of baking soda

1 cup of baking powder

1 cup of dishwashing liquid

Mix it all together until soft and fluffy, once mixed if it is still a little wet add extra baking powder slowly to get to the consistency you want.

Kinetic sand can be stored in an air tight container.
