The Year 7/8 Hub was represented by Football, Netball and Hockey teams at the SW Zone Winter Tournament, held on Tuesday the 30th of July.

Top 3 placings in their respective competition for both the Boys Football and Girls Netball teams means that these two teams will advance to the next round of competition. This will be held on Tuesday 27 August. Read the student's thoughts on their tournament experience below.

Tournament Reflection: I really enjoyed playing football and playing for the team. My proudest moment was coming 2nd place with my team and getting into the Canterburys. I really enjoyed the tournament because it was fun and enjoyable.

Tournament Reflection: I really enjoyed getting to watch and umpire the Netballers. I loved seeing them work together and I am really happy that I got to go to the tournament. I am also really excited to go to Canterburys with the netball team.

Tournament Reflection: Hockey was really fun because a lot of our team was new or has not played in a while so we were not the best at the start but in the end we had a draw instead of a loss, so that was good.

Tournament Reflection: I enjoyed the time that I was there I am happy that we go on and play more with the team. I hope we do well the next time we are going to the Canterburys because we placed 2nd in our games.

Tournament Reflection: Hockey was interesting because we lost the majority of our games and we drew a game, which I think is pretty good considering that none of us have ever played together and a few of us had never played before.

Tournament Reflection: I found the tournament really interesting and fun. I really liked the competition in each game. Our team was really new to the game at the start and at the end no one would know that we had just started.

Tournament Reflection: I am thankful for everything that the netball team did and this is a great learning experience for me and the team. Everyone got open and available and we always tried to get the rebound and intercept; but we will always have something to work on. Good job to everyone who participated

Tournament Reflection: I found the tournament exciting and fun because I got to meet new people and have fun with all of my teammates. Also because we got 3rd and are possibly going to Canterburys.

Tournament Reflection: I enjoyed the tournament. It was fun and we qualified for Canterburys. I hope Blake and Ben will be there. We all worked together well, and it was an enjoyable experience. I am excited for Canterburys.

Tournament Reflection: I really enjoyed the tournament this year. We played 4 games and we lost 3 and drew 1. After our 4 games we had to wait until the ⅚ teams were finished. When I was waiting for that to happen I hung out with my friends. We got back to school at about 1.15.

Tournament Reflection: I enjoyed the tournament because is was a fun experience and I liked the opportunity to work with our team. I think that we did well for our first time playing as a team against other schools. We came third which is really cool.
